At aac, also in 2025 we continue to research by tackling real-world challenges to explore how we want to build in the future. Architecture students from around the world join us to work on a competition-style design project over three and a half weeks.

Our next workshop will take place from 2 to 27 June 2025 and will focus on the Exxon Tower in Houston, Texas, USA. 

The aim is to transform this icon of fossil fuel monopoly towards a carbon free community.

The workshop brief is developed by aac, Hamburg, in collaboration with Charles Renfro of Diller Scofidio + Renfro, New York. Houston Days are organised in collaboration with Rice University School of Architecture, Houston, Texas. 

Architecture students are encouraged to apply. Scholarships are available to cover tuition fees and accommodation in Hamburg and Houston.
